e) Inserting Batteries/Rechargeable Batteries into the Transmitter
Observe the operating instructions for the transmitter.
Slide out the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the transmitter and insert 8 new batteries or 8 fully charged
rechargeable batteries AA/mignon type into the battery compartment. Observe correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-),
see label on the battery compartment. Close the battery compartment again.
f) Switching on the Transmitter
First pull out the telescopic aerial all the way; do not apply any force, and do not bend the telescopic aerial.
Switch on the transmitter.
g) Connecting the Driving Batteries to the Speed Controller
To prevent a sudden starting of the wheels and therefore an uncontrolled starting of the model (e.g. if the
trimming for the drive is maladjusted or neutral position is not programmed correctly, see chapter 10. a),
place the model vehicle on a suitable surface (or starting box), so that the wheels can turn freely.
Do not reach into the drive. Do not hold the wheels
For operating the vehicle or speed controller, you need two fully charged driving batteries of the same build.
use either two 2-cell LiPo driving batteries (nominal voltage 7.4V) or two 6-cell NiMH driving batteries (nominal voltage
7.2V). Never use any driving batteries with more cells or another voltage.
Please note:
The driving batteries are connected in
sseries with the plug system present at the
speed controller.
Thus, you can use two cost-efficient 2-cell
LiPo driving batteries or two 6-cell NiMH
driving batteries, and do not need any ex-
pensive special rechargeable batteries.
With this series connection, the speed con-
troller works as if a single 4-cell LiPo driving
battery or a 12-cell NiMH driving battery was
inserted.
