Position the set only on a stable horizontal support. There has to
be a sufficient possibility for air circulation for the set to dissipate
the heat produced. Do not place any objects on the ventilation
slots of the set. Non-observance of these instructions might cau-
se damage to the receiver.
Since there is a great variety of varnishes and polishes for furnitu-
re it cannot be ruled out that the legs of the set could undergo a
chemical reaction, leaving visible residues on the furniture . The-
refore, it is advisable to provide an appropriate protection before
placing the receiver on the surface of valuable furniture.
Neither drill the casing nor turn in any additional screws to fix the
casing because this will damage the set.
How to insert and exchange batteries
• The battery compartment (20) is at the back of the remo-
te control unit.
• Press the marking of the battery compartment lid and
gently push it off the set in the direction of the arrow.
• Insert two 1.5 V microbatteries (AAA) into the battery
compartment, taking care of their correct polarities. The
correct polarity can be seen from the inscription in the
battery compartment.
• Reclose the battery compartment.
☞
Use alkaline microbatteries to achieve a service life as
long as possible for the batteries.
Always insert two new batteries at a time, do not
simultaneously use an old battery and a new one.
If the reciver does not react to the remote control unit any longer or if the unit's
distance of action decreases exchange the batteries.
Do not leave batteries littered because children or pets might
swallow them. In case of batteries being swallowed call for imme-
diate medical care. Leaky or damaged batteries might cause cau-
terization when in contact with the skin; therefore, use suitable
protective gloves.
Take care not to short-circuit batteries. Never try to charge batte-
ries. Do not throw batteries into fire because they might explode.
