Handling

• Never plug the power plug into a mains socket immediately after the appliance has

been taken from a cold to a warm environment. The condensation water that deve-
lops may lead to the appliance malfunctioning.
Allow the appliance to reach room temperature before connecting it to the
power supply. Wait until the condensation water has evaporated.

• Never connect or disconnect power plugs with wet hands.
• Never disconnect power plugs from the mains socket by pulling at the cable. Always

pull out the power plug, holding it at the contact surfaces provided for this purpose.

• Always pull the power plug out of the mains socket if the appliance is not going to

be used for longer periods of time.

• Make sure that the appliance is sufficiently ventilated when in operation.
• For safety reasons, always disconnect the power plug from the mains socket

during thunderstorms.

• Do not listen to excessively loud music for longer periods of time. This could

damage your hearing.

Servicing

Periodically check the technical safety of the 2-channel-compressor, e.g. check for
damage to the power cable or the housing.

If you have reasons to assume that safe operation is no longer possible, then dis-
connect the appliance immediately and secure it against inadvertent operation. Dis-
connect the mains plug from the socket!
It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
• there is any visible damage to the appliance
• the appliance does not function for some reason
• it has been stored for longer periods under unfavourable conditions or
• the appliance has been subjected to unsuitable conditions of transport

Always observe the following safety instructions when cleaning or servicing the
2-channel-compressor:

Live components may be exposed if the covering is opened or
components are removed.
Before servicing or repair works, the appliance must be dis-
connected from all sources of power.
Capacitors in the appliance may still be charged even after dis-
connecting them from all power sources.
Never repair damaged mains cables yourself. In such cases, dis-
connect the appliance from the mains and take it to a specialist.

• Extra care should be taken when starting up the appliance. Please follow the ope-

rating instructions carefully in doing so.

• When setting up the product, make sure that the mains cable is not pinched or

damaged by sharp edges.

• Appliances operated using mains voltage must be kept out of the reach of child-

ren. For this reason, be particularly cautious when using the appliance in the pre-
sence of children. They may try to stick objects into it through openings in the hou-
sing. Danger of suffering a fatal electrical shock!

• Never pour liquids above electrical appliances and never leave objects filled with

liquids (e.g. vases) on them. There is a very high risk of fire or of a fatal electrical
shock! If fluid does get into the appliance, immediately disconnect the power plug
from the mains socket and consult an expert.

• Do not expose the appliance to high temperatures, dripping or sprayed water,

strong vibration or heavy mechanical loads.

• Do not place open sources of fire such as burning candles onto the appliance.
• Contact a specialist if you have any doubt about how the equipment functions, the

safety or about how to connect the product.

• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. Plastic sheets/bags and

polystyrene parts etc. could become dangerous toys for children.

• Never operate the appliance without supervision.
• Do not use the appliance in a tropical climate.
• Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other appliances that are

connected to the appliance.

• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Employer’s

Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and Operating Materials are
to be observed.

• If you are not sure about the correct connection or if questions arise which

are not covered by the operating instructions, please do not hesitate to
contact our technical support or another specialist.
