Mains connection
Make sure that the POWER mains switch (1) is switched off befo-
re you connect the appliance to the power supply grid.
Also make sure that the mains voltage selection switch (18) is in
the correct position for power supply (either 115V or 230V).
Connect the shockproof plug of the
power supply cable (20) to a shockproof
mains socket.
The POWER mains switch (1) is used to
switch on and off the appliance.
Operation
The 2-channel-compressor has channel-separated displays, controls, and switches
for sound manipulation.
Identically named elements also have identical functions, but act on different channels.

RATIO control (5):
Controls the attenuation ratio of signals exceeding the
threshold setting of the COMPRESSOR/LIMITER.
ATTACK control (6):
Controls the time delay after which the COMPRES-
SOR/LIMITER reacts to an exceeded threshold and
attenuates the signal.
When the appliance is switched on, the
indicator in the POWER mains switch (1)
is on.

Initial operation
To ensure the correct initial operation, please read these opera-
ting instructions and the safety instructions carefully before using
the appliance!
Before connecting the 2-channel-compressor, switch off the
compressor and all the other appliances that are to be connected
to the compressor, and disconnect the appliances from the power
supply grid.
Repeat the above procedure when re-wiring.
Installing/setting-up
The 2-channel-compressor can either be set-up on a flat surface or installed in a rack
system.
To install the compressor in a rack it is fastened with screws using the 4 fastening
holes in the front plate.
Take care not to place the appliance in direct sunlight and protect
it from vibration, dust, heat, cold, and moisture. Keep the applian-
ce away from strong transformers or motors.
When installing the appliance in a rack with other appliances
make sure that all components are sufficiently ventilated to avoid
failure due to overheating.
Always operate the 2-channel-compressor on a steady surface
insensitive to heat, and make sure it is upright and has enough air
circulating around it.
Carelessness in following these instructions could lead to the
appliance becoming damaged.
Take care that all appliances are securely fastened and set up to
avoid accidents.
Connection of inputs and outputs
The 2-channel-compressor is equipped with symmetrically wired XLR and 6.3mm
cinch input and output sockets. Although the type of socket used does not affect the
function, make sure that always only one type of socket is used.
