g) Switching on the speed controller
The on/off button (A) and the setup button (B) are located
next to the speed controller.
A red LED (C) on the speed controller is used to display
the function.
Sound signals that are generated by a short activation of
the drive motor also serve for further signalling.
First check that the transmitter is switched on and ready
for use. Release the transmitter controls, do not move
them.
To turn on the speed controller, briefly press the on/off button (A).
Meaning of the sound/LED signals
Function
One short beep, LED flashes once briefly
NiMH vehicle battery detected
Two short beeps, LED flashes twice briefly
2-cell LiPo vehicle battery detected
One long beep, LED lights up once long, LED goes off
The speed controller has received a valid signal from
the transmitter, the throttle/brake lever is in the neutral
position, the speed controller is ready for use
LED flashes continuously
The transmitter is switched off or the throttle/brake lever
is not in the neutral position
If the LED starts flashing continuously after one or two brief flashes, no correct neutral position of the
transmitter has been detected (or the transmitter is switched off). In this case, the speed controller does not
work for safety reasons.
Release the throttle/brake lever on the transmitter so that it is in the neutral (central) position or switch on
the transmitter.
Check that the throttle and steering functions are working correctly.
h) Attaching and securing the body
Establish the connection between the LED bar and the vehicle; the connection is reverse polarity protected.
Now put the car body on the brackets and fasten it with the safety clips that were removed at the start. Make sure that
the cable between the LED bar and the vehicle cannot be entrapped by rotating parts of the vehicle.
Finally, be sure to secure the body with the hook and loop fasteners on the left and right of the vehicle.
i) Attaching the decorative accessories to the body
If you have not already done so, attach the included decorative accessory to the body. You can secure it with some
hot glue or plastic adhesive so that it is not lost whilst driving.
