8. Commissioning
a) Mounting the Wind Rotor and Wind Vane
• The wind rotor (A) is mounted on the bottom part of the wind sensor.
First turn the grub screw out a little with the included hexagon wrench.
Plug the wind rotor on the drive axis in the correct orientation. The grub screw must be placed precisely on the
flattened side of the drive axis.
Carefully turn in the grub screw; do not apply any force.
• Plug the wind vane (B) into the top of the wind sensor. A magnet integrated with the wind vane will later permit
recognition of the wind direction.
The retention ring (C) around the wind sensor shows the 4 cardinal points (“N” = North, “S” = South, “E” =
East, “W” = West).
During later assembly, observe these alignments under all circumstances, since the wind directions otherwise
cannot be displayed correctly.
Use an integrated spirit label (D) to align the outdoor sensor for the rain and wind sensor to work correctly.
b) Inserting the Batteries into the Weather Station
• Open the battery compartment on the rear of the weather station and insert 3 type AA/mignon batteries into with
correct polarity (observe plus/+ and minus/-).
• Close the battery compartment again.
• The weather station display briefly shows all display segments; then it will start finding the outdoor sensor.
