Installation and Connection
Pay attention to the information in the chapter “Preparations for Installation”!
• Think about the location of the light e.g. beneath a kitchen cabinet. If you wish to install more
than one light, choose the mounting location carefully.
To connect multiple lights in series, suitable connectors are available as accessories (to be
ordered separately; look online at www.conrad.com).
• Mount the lamp using two fasteners. Each fastener can be
fi
xed with a screw. Depending on
the surface, use appropriate screws and if necessary dowels. Pay attention when drilling and
tightening the screws that no cable or pipes are damaged.
• Insert the light into the fasteners until it snaps into place.
• Connect the round low-voltage socket of the light with the corresponding plug of the power
pack.
When connecting the product, pay attention to the correct polarity (internal contact must have
po, external contact negative/-). The round low-voltage plug required for the connec-
tion must have an external diameter of 3.5 mm and an internal diameter of 1.3 mm.
If you install multiple lights that are connected to each other, it is not important to
which end of the light combination you connect the power pack.
The suitable connectors or adapter plugs for the connection of multiple lights are not
included in the package of the lights. They must be ordered as accessories (see e.g.
www.conrad.com).
A maximum of 12 lights with the item no. 563171 or a maximum of 6 lights with the
item no. 563172 may be connected in series.
If both light types are mixed, the admissible maximum number of lights is reduced,

• Observe the power pack’s operating instructions when mounting it.
• When laying the cables, make sure that they are not squeezed, pinched or damaged by
sharp edges.
• Connect the mains adapter to the mains voltage.
• The light, it can be switched on and off using the ON/OFF switch.
• If the light does not light up, then turn off the power supply immediately.
Thereafter, check the connections of the light (correct polarity: internal contact of the round
plug used must have po, external contact negative/-).
In case of doubt, contact a professional (e.g. an electrician)!
Maintenance and Care
• The light does not require maintenance. The integrated LED light sources have a very long
life; they cannot be replaced.
• Before cleaning, turn the light off. After that, allow suf
fi
cient time for the lamp to cool down.
• The exterior of the light should only be wiped with a clean, soft, dry cloth. Do not use aggres-
sive cleaning agents or chemical solutions that could damage the housing (discolouring) or
impair operation.
Do not press too hard on the housing, as scratches might appear.
Dust can easily be removed using a clean, soft brush and a vacuum cleaner.
