Prescribed Use
This metal locator serves for locating metal objects in the ground (beach, woods,
fields) outside buildings.
Because of its electronic construction it is not suitable for locating electric wires in
buildings.
Any use other than the one described above damages the product. Moreover, this
involves dangers.
No part of the product may be modified or rebuilt. Observe the safety instructions
and technical data.
Safety Instructions
Caution! Danger of explosion when digging up a find!
When the device indicates a find bear in mind that instead of a precious object
it may as well be ammunition or other explosives. Digging up and salvaging
finds is entirely your responsibility.
Neither the manufacturer nor the dealer are liable for any damage.
Children should not use metal locators but in the presence of adults.

Battery Exchange
Battery chamber
Open the covering of the battery chamber by pressing the corrugated markings
slightly with your thumb and your index finger and pulling it off the device.
Insert the 4 Mignon batteries in the battery chamber with correct polarity, see mark-
ings in the battery chamber.
After having inserted the batteries close the battery chamber again with the covering
of the battery chamber.
Tip:
Use Alkaline Mignon batteries to ensure the longest possible operating time.
Environmental Note!
The end user is legally bound (old battery direcitve) to return all
used batteries and storage batteries (from round cells to lead
acid batteries), the disposal in the household waste is inadmissi-
ble.
You may return your used batteries and storage batteries to our
subsidiaries or to our head quarters in Hirschau or, like before, to
the local waste disposal (reusable waste facilities) which are
obliged to accept them.
Contribute to the protection of our environment.
Do not leave batteries, round cells, storage batteries unattended, keep them at
a place inaccessible for children. Swallowing batteries involves mortal danger!
In such a case call for immediate medical care! Do not short-circuit batteries,
do not throw them into fire and do not recharge them; they might explode!
