Safety Instructions

The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe these safety

instructions! We do not assume any liability for any consequential damage!

Nor do we assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by improper use
or non-compliance with the safety instructions! In such cases, the warranty will be null
and void.

•   The unauthorised conversion and/or modi

fi

cation of the product is not allowed for safety and

approval reasons (CE).

•   The product is only intended for installation and operation in dry, closed, indoor locations. No

part of the product must be allowed to get damp or wet.

•  The product is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children!

•   Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around since it could become a dangerous

plaything for children.

Battery Notes

•  Batteries should be kept out of the reach of children.
•   Do not leave batteries lying around in the open; there is a risk of them being swallowed by children or

domestic animals. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.

•   Leaking or damaged batteries can lead to caustic burning of the skin. Therefore, use suitable protective

gloves.

•   Batteries/rechargeable batteries must not be short-circuited, opened or thrown into a

fi

re. There is a risk of

explosion!

•  Do not recharge normal, non-rechargeable batteries; there is a risk of explosion!
•  Do not mix batteries with different charges (e.g.

fl

 at and half-discharged batteries).

For reasons of operational safety and longevity, you should only use premium alkaline but not

rechargeable batteries.

Installation/assembly

For the mounting spot, it is advisable to choose a place where the safe cannot be directly viewed or easily
accessed. For example, you can hang up a picture covering the safe.

Protect the safe against damp or moisture. Therefore, do not mount the safe in damp rooms or

humid cellars.

The safe is intended for the installation on a wall. Due to the required mounting depth, this is only possible
with relatively thick walls.

When performing work on the walls please pay attention to the building‘s static equilibrium!

In case of doubt consult an expert before you start to knock out an opening in a wall. Risk of
collapse!

Furthermore, pay attention to cables, wires or pipes

fi

tted into the wall. Do not pass any power

lines near the safe.

Brick the safe in place so that removing it can only be done by using undue massive force. Protect the entire
front side of the safe from dust and dirt using an appropriate cover while performing any work on the wall or
while plastering.
Prior to using the safe, allow the building material used (concrete, mortar, plaster etc.) to harden well. This
may take several days.

If you wish to open the safe (e.g. to be able to insert it into the wall more easily), you can use

the enclosed key (see next chapter) or the battery box (see chapter “Using the external battery
box”).

The lock is hidden beneath a cover to the right of the LC display. Turn the round cover slightly to
the left and then remove it.

Opening/closing the safe with the key

This may be needed, if the batteries are low or

fl

at and the safe cannot be opened by entering

the access code. This way, the safe may also be operated without batteries, if desired.

Alternatively, you may use the external battery box in a suitable plug socket (B), see next
chapter.

•   The lock that the key

fi

ts (A) is hidden beneath a cover to the

right of the LC display. Turn the round cover slightly to the left
and then remove it.

•   Insert the key in the lock in proper position and turn a bit to the

left anti-clockwise.

Keeping the key in this position, turn the locking grip to the right

up to the stop. Remove the key from the lock and open the safe
door.

•   To close the safe, the safe door should be closed

fi

 rst. Then

turn the locking grip to the left up to the stop to make the lock
latch.

Check the lock - the fastening handle should not move to the

right now.

If you accidentally turn the fastening handle to the left while the safe door is open and cause the

two locking bolts to protrude from the safe door (and thereby prevent the safe door from locking),
just proceed as described above for opening the safe door.

Use of the external battery box

A battery box is part of the delivery content of the safe. It supplies the safe with electricity if the internal
batteries are empty and you do not have the keys readily available (or if you have accidentally stored them
inside the safe).
•  Place 4 batteries type AA/mignon in the battery box and re-lock it.
•   A small connection socket is located on the lower edge of the safe door (see image above, position “B”).

Connect the battery box here.

•  The safe will now open as usual when you enter the access code.
Press the “#START” button and enter the user code (preset at the factory “1234”) or the master code

(preset at factory “123456”).

 Con

fi

rm the code with the button “#START”.

Turn the fastening handle within 5 seconds to the right as far as it goes and open the safe door.

Inserting / replacing batteries

•   Open the safe. Use, for example, the keys delivered (see chapter “Open/lock the safe with key”) or the

battery box (see chapter “Use of the external battery box”).

•   Open the battery compartment on the back of the door. Push the cover to the back until you can remove it.
•  Insert 4 AA/mignon batteries with correct polarity (observe plus/+ and minus/-).
•  Close the battery compartment again.
•   A change of battery is required if the display contrast is reduced, “Lo-Bat” appears when entering the code

or the LC display stays empty.

The access codes remain unchanged after a battery change.

To keep the date, time and saved data sets for the opening procedures, the external battery box
has to be connected during the battery change!

Operation

Opening the safe using an access code

•   Press the “#START” button brie

fl

 y, 8 lines appear on the LC display (“- - - - - - - -”). The display light is

simultaneously activated.

•   Enter either the master code or the user code. Correct an input mistake by pressing the “*CLEAN” button.
 Con

fi

rm the code with the button “#START”.

The basic setting of the delivery uses the master code “123456” and the user code “1234”.

•  If the code is correct, the display shows “OPEN” and an acoustic signal appears.
Within 5 seconds, turn the locking grip to the right up to the stop and open the door. If the locking grip is

not moved, the lock will latch for safety reasons automatically upon expiry of these 5 seconds.

•  If the code is incorrect, the display shows “Error”. Additionally, an alarm sound is emitted.

Entering an incorrect code 3 times causes the safe to emit a loud alarm sound for approximately

one minute. In this period, no new codes can be entered.

•   Before you close the safe, the safe door should be closed. Then turn the locking grip to the left up to the

stop to make the lock latch.

Check the locking - turn of the grip to the right should not be possible now.

If you accidentally turn the fastening handle to the left while the safe door is open and cause the

two locking bolts to protrude from the safe door (and thereby prevent the safe door from locking),
just proceed as described above for opening the safe door.
