3.1 System description
The VDR is designed to meet the performance and technical requirements stated in
IMO Resolution A.861(20), MSC.214(81) and IEC 61996-1 for VDR and
IMO MSC.163(78), MSC.214(81) and IEC
61996-2 for S-VDR
The data items to be recorded are listed in IEC 61996-1 for full VDR and in IEC
61996-2 for S-VDR. It is valuable to now what equipment that is recorded to better
understand the system.
