SETTINGS
Swipe up on the home screen and tap
Settings
. The Settings menu contains
most of the tools for customizing and configuring your phone. In some sub-
menus, you may need to tap
Advanced
to get all the options.
At the top of the Settings screen, you can see setting suggestions. Tap to
check or customize the recommended settings.

to turn Wi-Fi on or off and

Mobile Network

to control
mobile data use, data roaming, preferred network type and operator, and
access point names. (see
Connecting to Networks and Devices – Connecting
to Mobile Networks).
Data Usage
Open
Settings
and tap
Network & internet
>
Data usage
to check and
manage mobile data use. You can view Wi-Fi usage as well.
•
Data Saver:
Enable or disable Data Saver, which prevents apps from using
mobile data in the background. Apps you’re currently using can access
data, but may do so less frequently when Data saver is enabled. You can
tap
Unrestricted data
to allow some apps to always have data connection
access, even when Data Saver is enabled.
•
Mobile data:
Enable or disable mobile data.
•
App data usage:
Check how much data has been used by each app
during the time cycle you set. You can then tap an app to restrict its use of
background data or grant it unrestricted data use when Data Saver is on.
•
Data warning & limit:
Set the billing cycle, mobile data warning, and mobile
data limit.
•
Wi-Fi data usage:
View the Wi-Fi usage of apps during the last month.
NOTE:
The data usage monitored by your device may not match your carrier’s
usage data.
