Never hold the pulse oximeter under water, as fluid can enter into the device
and the pulse oximeter will become damaged.
Keep the pulse oximeter out of reach of children.
In case small parts such as battery compartment covers,
batteries or retaining straps are swallowed, there is a risk of suffocation.
The following may lead to incorrect results or malfunctions of the product:
– Random movements by the patient
– High frequencies produced by defibrillators
– If the sensor's measuring point is located on the same artery or vein
as a blood pressure cuff
– If the patient has low blood pressure, very low contraction pressure,
extreme anaemia or too low body temperature
– Varnished nails
– If the patient was treated with heart stimulants following cardiac arrest
3 Modification of the product
Apart from the described maintenance instructions, the product may not be
modified or repaired by the operator!
The manufacturer's responsibility is limited to the dimensional and physiological
suitability of the product.
Improper use, modifications to the device or negligence will void any warranty.
This also applies to unauthorised repairs. Normal signs of wear and tear on the
device are also excluded.
4 Before using the product
Store the device in a place with temperatures between –40°C and +60°C
and a relative humidity of 5% to 95%.
We recommend that you always store the device in a dry place.
Damp surroundings will limit the service life and may cause defects.
Prior to each use, observe the reprocessing instructions as described
in chapter 6.
Attaching the carrying strap:
Guide the thin end of the carrying strap through the hole on the device.
Pull the thick end of the carrying strap through the loop that has formed
and pull it closed with care.
Inserting the batteries:
Insert 2 x AAA batteries observing the correct polarity.
Close the battery cover.
The device may become damaged if the polarity
is incorrect.
Remove the batteries if the device is not used for any
significant length of time.
