Inserting scanner glass
Replacing the scanner glass
Insert new scanner glass
Check that the flat magnetic surfaces inside the scanner are
clean and free from dirt or dust. Use a small vacuum device
if necessary.
Carefully bring the new scanner glass near to the open scan
area
TAKE CARE NOT TO ACCIDENTALLY BRUSH DIRT OR
CONTAMINANTS INTO THE SCANNER
Using both hands support the glass by the fingertips then
carefully lower it into position taking care to locate each end
plate (up-side of glass) onto its four corresponding location
points inside the scanner body
The magnetic strips on the underside of the glass serve to
maintain the position of the glass once located. Use the
fingertips to confirm the glass is properly seated.
NOTE:
You may need to clean
both sides
of the
scan glass
if it has become marked during handling.
Recalibration is recommended after changing the scanner glass
