Roll up your sun shade when not in use, or before strong storms, to prevent damage.

RAISING AND LOWERING THE SHADE

Having successfully followed the steps above, your shade should be in the retracted position (rolled up)
and ready to use.
To lower the shade, place one hand in the center of the bottom rail and pull down to any desired height.
To raise the shade, place one hand in the center of the bottom rail and pull down slightly. The shade will
automatically retract to the original position. (Fig.7)

TENSION ADJUSTMENT

If the retraction speed of your roller shade is either too fast or too slow, you can adjust the tension of the
spring in the head rail (roller). To increase or decrease the retraction speed of your roller shade:

1.

Reinsert the set screw into one of the four preset locations on the drum, and use the Allen wrench to
turn it clockwise until you can no longer pull the shade down. (Fig.8)

2.  Remove the roll from the brackets by reversing steps 6 – 8 above.
3.  To increase the tension on the spring, use the tension adjustment tool provided and turn the spring

loaded system 1 – 2 full rotations (counterclockwise) on the right of the shade. (Fig.9)

4.  To decrease tension on the spring, use the tension adjustment tool and turn the spring loaded system

1 – 2 rotations on the right of the shade clockwise (to the right). (Fig 9)

Warning:

Because the mechanism is under tension, be sure to hold the Tension Adjustment Tool

in place after rotating the spring mechanism.

DO NOT

let go of the Allen wrench as this could

potentially cause injury.

5.  Continue steps 3 or 4, checking the tension every 1 -2 rotations until you have set the desired tension.
6.  Once the desired tension has been achieved, hold the tension adjustment tool in place and use the

Allen wrench provided to tighten the set screw by turning it clockwise (to the right). (Fig.8)

7.

Re-install the shade by following step 6 - 9 above.

Note:

Again, be sure to save the set screw after removing it because you will need it if you want to

re-adjusted the tension at a later time.

MAINTENANCE:

Your sun shade has been made of the finest materials and, when properly cared

for, will provide years of shade and privacy. To clean your shade, simply rinse with water, scrub with
mild soap or any nonabrasive cleaner, rinse and allow to dry. Call us for missing parts or mechanical
problems. Do not store shade wet. In moist areas, roll shade down frequently to air dry.

CAUTION:

Use of solvents or abrasive cleaners may damage the fabric and will void your warranty.

Do not use bleach or chlorine.

6.  Install the right side of the roller by inserting the tab on the right bracket into the roller. (Fig.3)
7.

Install the left side by sliding the tab on the left bracket into the slot of the plastic component (Fig.4)

8.  Then, lock the shade in place by rotating the wheel on the left 90 degrees in a downward direction

(Fig 5)

9. Lastly, before using your shade, you’ll need to engage the spring mechanism. To do so, remove the

set screw on the right side by using the Allen wrench and turning it counterclockwise until it is fully
removed from the drum. You will feel the spring engage as it will want to retract the shade. (Fig.6)

Note:

Be sure to save the set screw after removing it because you will need it if you want to

re-adjusted the tension at a later time.
