Flash and electronic ID card reader with Bluetooth adapter
DESCRIPTION
The card reader CoolBox CR-650BT provides access to flash,
electronic ID cards and smartcards, SIM cards, while incorporating a
Bluetooth adapter that provides enhanced communication
capabilities to the PC in which it is installed.
This is an internal multilector to be connected via USB2.0
The Bluetooth adapter enables communication between PC and
smartphones, tablets and peripherals fitted with that system .File
sharing included.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
To be installed in a PC, it is required…
…Hardware:
- 3,5” bay with frontal access
- USB2.0 header connector in motherboard.
…Software:
- Windows7 and higher operating systems, Linux with kernel 2.4 and
higher. For proper flash reader and bluetooth adapter performan-
ce.
- Electronic Id card support is automatic when Windows 8.x. For
lower Windows and/or Linux OS, additional steps are required.
- Software installation on CD included is required for SIM slot
support. Limited to contacts edition. Windows OS only.

INSTALLING HARDWARE
1. Turn off the computer
and unplug the power cord. If necessary,
disconnect other peripheral cables (for better access).
2. Open the
PC case.
3. Remove the 3.5 "
bay cover where you will install the card reader.
4. Insert the card
reader into this bay and secure it with the provided
screws.
5. Connect the
USB2.0 cable to an unoccupied USB2.0 header
connector in the motherboard.
6. Close the Pc
case and connect the power cable (so the rest of
unplugged cables if previously were disconnected).
INSTALLING SOFTWARE
When you turn on the PC again, the operating system detects the
cardreader and bluetooth adapter and will install the necessary
software drivers.
The flash card reader requires no additional drivers, being fully
supported by the operating system (note this has to be listed in
"System Requirements")
The SIM slot is only operational by Windows OS and will require
provided CD software installation. Inserted SIM card contacs details
can be edited.
As for the electronic Id card support, for Windows operating
systems 8.x, no need of installing anything, asis it totally supported.
Additional steps are required for Windows7 and Linux.

Bluetooth adapter does not require additional sofware either, as it is
supported (for both file transfer and audio communication) by the
operating systems listed in "System requirements".
