The yarn breaks
Excessive speed in relation to the yarn count
➥
Reduce the speed using the
iW
keypad, keeping in mind that performing this operation
during
the winding operation could cause the cone to be slightly deformed.
Excessive yarn braking
➥
Reduce the pressure on the yarn brakes 7-10-12 fig.9 and if necessary, use only one of them
7 fig.9 resetting the other.
Tube carrier arm 17 fig.9 with tailstocks that do not slide well
➥
Remove the yarn or yarn fluff. With the tube 18 fig.9 mounted, it must slide well.
Feeders 11 fig.9 that turn in the direction opposite to that of the yarn due to incorrect thread-
ing
➥
Follow the threading instructions
Cone too soft, the yarn guide 6 fig.9 touches the cone
➥
Increase the braking and turn the counterweight 10 fig.9 to the position opposite the arm 17
fig.9. Check the position of the yarn guide (see fig.20)
Feeders not operating
➥
Check that the feeder belt 1 fig.13 has not escaped from the pulley seats. Clean and remount it
correctly.
The yarn guide loses the yarn or breaks it on the cone
➥
Adjust the position of the yarn guide 1 fig.7 so that the taught yarn brushes against the bush at
the bottom and that between the yarn guide 1 fig.7 and the tube 12 fig.15, at the base, there is
a space between 4.5-5 mm (see fig.20).
Defective or deformed cones
Variation during the formation of the cone: of the crossover angle, speed, braking, threading
➥
Avoid making adjustments between the start and finish of each cone.
Yarn fluff under the yarn brake disks
➥
Clean the disks, removing any dirt above or below them.
Too tight
➥
Counterweight back too far.
➥
Braking insufficient.
➥
Arm too tight.
Cone vibrates
➥
Tube faulty or not suitable for the tailstocks.
➥
Arm insufficiently tightened; adjust lock-rings.
Turns were too slack at the beginning
➥
The tailstocks are not running freely.
➥
Arm too tight.
➥
Insufficient counterweight on the cone.
➥
Adjust, and if this does not solve the problem, rub the yarn between your fingers at the begin-
ning for a moment because the yarn is slippery.
