RUN-DOWN PROCESS
For good working and lengthy duration, the NiMH type batteries, used in the measu-
ring sensors of the wheel aligner, need to be periodically run down.
In the run-down process, the four batteries are completely run down at a constant
current and then charged again.
You are advised to carry out the run-down procedure every 15/30 days, depending on
the charging cycle (the more frequent the charging, the more often the run-down pro-
cedure should be carried out). The run-down is made by leaving the heads switched
on, on the head test page, until they are run-down.
Note:
• When fully charged, new batteries will ensure 8 hours of continuous operation.
CALIBRATION
Calibration program
This window allows the user to check and/or perform measuring sensor calibration.
Access the programme and level the measuring sensors as requested. The procedure re-
quired can be selected using the F11
menu.
The following keys are active in this window:
F1
displays the on-line “Help” function.
F11
displays the menu with the relative functions.
These are the menu options:
• Start context (Goes back to the starting screen)
• Mechanical calibration check (displays the mechanical conditions of the heads)
• Calibration check (checks the electronic calibration of the heads - values should be
around zero)
• Full scale calibration (carries out complete calibration (zeros + full scale) of the incli-
nometers
• Zero calibration (carries out calibration of the zeros of the inclinometers)
• Help (recalls the Help screen relative to the current screen).
