CLEANING
Although the surface treatments on the aluminium section
bars, both anodizing and painting, are top quality and
constantly monitored, we recommend cleaning the aluminium
parts periodically (at least three times a year) using water and
neutral detergent only. Alkaline or acid products, abrasive
products, organic solvents or detergent of unknown chemical
composition must not be used. The surfaces and detergents
used for washing must be no warmer than 20°C; do not use
steam cleaners. More frequent cleaning must be carried out in
areas with high levels of salinity or pollutants.
To ensure the sliders work properly, keep the top and bottom
guides clean; ensure that all the seals are clean, wiping them
with a damp cloth if necessary.
To maintain proper rain water drainage from the structure,
periodically check that the drainage holes are not clogged (by
dust, leaves or any other debris), preventing normal water
run-off.
As for handling and fastening accessories, to maintain proper
functionality over time, check the moving parts at least once a
year, checking the seal on the fastening screws and replacing
any excessively worn parts. Clean and lubricate the contact
parts using silicone oil.
If any heavy building work is still to be carried out, the surfaces
must be protected as contact with grout, chalk or other
materials may damage the aluminium section bars (corrosion
etc.).
DISPOSAL
The system contains no materials that constitute a risk to
persons or the environment and must be disposed of in a scrap
centre for separation into its component materials.
n.b.
Sunlight causes the natural heating of the external exposed
surfaces which, especially if dark coloured, can reach relatively
high temperatures (60°C and above). In particularly cold
weather, on the other hand, the temperature of the external
exposed surfaces can drop considerably (even below 0°C).
As such, given that aluminium is a good heat conductor, the
inside of the section bars may become very hot (discomfort
or even scalding when coming into contact with and moving
the sections) or very cold (possible formation of condensation).
Take due precautions.
