Battery
Press the button (10) to check the battery charge. You can
charge the battery while it is still in the bicycle, but you can
also take it out (11) and charge it indoors (12). You should
certainly do this if the outdoor temperature is below freezing
point: the battery is protected and will not charge under
these conditions. The table below shows how long it takes
to fully charge your battery.

More tips
–
Keep the battery indoors when it is cold outside.
This will extend the life of the battery.
–
The battery is a consumer article that is subject to
wear. The battery capacity will decline in the course
of time.
–
Use the battery only for the e-bike it was sold with.
–
Only charge the battery with its original charger.
–
Do not drop the battery, do not expose it to high
temperatures or submerge it in a liquid.
Not using the battery? In that case you should half-charge it
once every three months.
It is really important that a new battery is fully charged
before it is used for the fi rst time. After production, the
batteries are charged to around 30% and put in sleep
mode. To make the battery ready for use, it needs to be fully
charged fi rst. A battery can always be topped up, you don’t
have to discharge it fi rst. However, it is better for the battery
to discharge it completely about once every four months.
If a battery will not be used for longer periods of time,
you should not store it fully charged, but keep it at room
temperature between 30% and 60%. It is also recommended
to put the battery in sleep mode; the battery will use a lot
less current to maintain its condition. You put the battery
in sleep mode by pushing the charge-check button on the
battery for 30 seconds. When you release the button, lights 1
and 2 will fl ash alternately (10).
