Forward facing modes (Group 2/3) (15 to 36kg, approx. 4 to 12
years old):
Preparation:
28-
Open the rear compartment door (a).
Disconnect the chest pad and shoulder strap connectors (b, c) then
pull them away from the front of the seat (d).
Remove the chest pad connector (e).
29-
Open the harness (Refer to step 8).
Remove the chest pads(a), buckle clips(b), liners (if applicable, c) &
buckle (d).
30-
Release the fabric from hooks (a) and sides (b) of the seat unit.
Lift up the front of seat cover (c).
31-
Store the buckle clips (a), buckle (b), chest pad connector (c) &
harness connector (b) within the seat shell as shown.
Retain the chest pads, crotch pad & liners for future use.
Close the rear compartment door and refit the seat cover.
32-

IMPORTANT: DO NOT USE FORWARD FACING BEFORE THE CHILD’S
WEIGHT EXCEEDS 9 KG.

Fitting:
Convert the seat unit to forward facing orientation (refer to step 13).
Recline the backrest to position 1 (Refer to step 1).
Position the child car seat on the vehicle seat, forward facing.
Place your child into the child car seat.
Pull the vehicle belt out and around the child (a) and fasten the
buckle (b).
Fit the diagonal vehicle belt through the headrest diagonal vehicle
belt guide (c).
Tension the vehicle belt (d & e).
If fitted correctly the vehicle belt should cover the belt guide
markings on the child seat cover (f).
IMPORTANT: The position of the vehicle belt buckle can affect the
stability of the child restraint system. In an accident this could stop
the child restraint system from protecting your child as well as it
should. After tightening the vehicle belt, if the buckle lies in the
position marked (X) then try fitting the child restraint system in
another seating position in your vehicle.
Removal is a reversal of this procedure.
