6. Warning about reaching the battery cut-off voltage
It allows you to set the time left until the battery is completely discharged. If the set time is reached,
an alarm signal will be issued. It is possible to set the time in the range of 3 to 60 minutes. The
factory setting is 5 minutes.
3.4.2. Advanced functions (automatic tests and service)
At set intervals, the batteries should be discharged automatically by 20% of the rated capacity at a load
greater than 20% of the rated power of the power supply. If the load on the PSU is less than 20%,
automatic battery testing is not possible. The periods in which automatic battery tests will be carried out
can be set in the range of 30 to 360 days. The automatic battery test function can be deactivated.
The way of operation.
Temporary discharging of the battery by 20% of capacity, provided the last process of charging the
battery in no less than 5 hours and with a load of UPS in the range of 20-80% of the rated power of the
UPS.
Triggering.
Battery tests can be forced by the user from the LCD panel, or set to automatic at appropriate intervals.
Time of battery tests.
It can be set in the range of 30-360 days. By default, the battery's automatic tests are turned off.
3.5. Battery protection
To protect the battery, the following parameters can be set:
1. Pre-warning before reaching the battery cut-off voltage
Before the battery is completely discharged, a signal is issued informing about the voltage drop on
the batteries. After the signaling is issued, the batteries should have a capacity allowing for at least
three minutes of discharging at full load. This time can be configured in the range of 3-60 minutes.
2. Battery shutdown voltage (EOD)
In order to protect the battery against deep discharge, the cut-off voltage should be set within the
limits of 1.6 to 1.75V / cell for VRLA batteries. By attaining the cut-off voltage on the batteries, the
UPS is turned off and the batteries are isolated in order to protect them against too deep
discharging.
