4.2. Procedures for starting the power supply
4.2.1. Running the power supply or UPS units running parallel to the UPS from
the state of total shutdown
The following procedure should be used when starting up the power supply from the total off state.

Warning
When performing the following procedure, voltage appears at the output terminals of
the power supply. If the receivers are connected to the power supply output, check
whether the power supply is safe. If the receivers are not ready for power connection,
make sure that they are safely isolated from the UPS output.
The commissioning procedure for a dual-feed power supply is as follows:
1. Close the power supply disconnector (Q4). In the case of parallel operation, repeat the operations
on the second unit.
2. Close the bypass disconnector (Q2). In the case of parallel operation, repeat the operations on the
second unit.
3. Close the rectifier's power disconnector (Q1). In the case of parallel operation, repeat the operations
on the second unit.
During startup, the LCD display is turned on. The rectifier diode flashes during the start of the
rectifier. It takes about 30 seconds to start, after which the LED will turn green. After the
commissioning and testing process, Bypass is activated. The LEDs on the UPS should look like the
following table:
LED
State
Rec diode
Green
Battery diode
Red
Bypass diode
Green
Inv diode
Turn off
Output diode
Green
State diode
Red

Attention
The output disconnector must be switched on first, then the bypass input circuit breaker.
Otherwise, the rectifier can not be started and the "rectifier error" alarm will be
generated.
When the inverter starts, the inverter diode flashes. After the rectifier has been fully started up, it is
in Bypass mode, and then after the inverter is started, the inverter is powered from the inverter
output (normal operation). After switching to the power supply from the inverter, the Bypass diode
goes off and the inverter diode turns green as below:
LED
State
Rec diode
Green
Battery diode
Red
Bypass diode
Turn off
Inv diode
Green
Output diode
Green
State diode

4. Close the battery disconnector located outside the UPS (for both units in the case of parallel
operation), eg on the battery frame. The red battery diode goes out. The batteries are then charged
by the UPS.
