CCX2LP/NG (Built-In) Main Burners:
1. Remove your grill from the island once the gas line and transformer are disconnected.
2. At the back of the grill you will find two cotter pins holding the burner in place (1st picture shown
below). Remove these cotter pins and carefully remove each burner by pulling up and away
from the gas valve in front.
3. Use a wire brush on the outer surface of the burner to remove any food debris and/or dirt. Clean
any clogged ports with a stiff wire, such as an open paper clip.
4. Inspect the burner for damage (cracks or holes) and if such damage is found, order and install a
new burner.
5. After re-installation, check to insure that gas valve orifices are correctly placed inside the ends of
burners and also check to make sure the position of the spark electrode is in its correct spot.
CCX2LP/NG-FS (Free-Standing) Main Burners:
1. To remove the burners from the free-standing grills, you will need to remove the four bolts that
hold the grill head to the cart (2nd picture shown below).
2. Next pull the back of the grill up on top of the cart (3rd picture shown below).
3. Now, disconnect your gas line from the back of the grill.
4. You can now either remove the entire grill head from the cart or simply slide the grill forward on
top of the cart, so that you can gain access to the cotter pins holding the burners in position. If
you choose to slide the grill forward, be extremely careful that it does not slide all the way off of
the cart and on to the floor.
5. Once you have access to the cotter pins (1st picture shown below)., remove them from the
burners and then remove then carefully remove each burner by pulling up and away from the
gas valve in front.
6. Use a wire brush on the outer surface of the burner to remove any food debris and/or dirt. Clean
