ASSEMBLY cont.
Installing Adhesive-Backed Pressure Sensitive Sandpaper (See Fig. 4)
ALWAYS inspect the sandpaper before installing. DO NOT use if broken or defective.
1. Unplug the sander.
2. If replacing adhesive-backed pressure sensitive sandpaper, always remove old sandpaper
by peeling it off the cushion.
3. If replacing non-adhesive sandpaper with adhesive-backed paper, release paper clamps
by lifting up on each paper clamp lever. Then remove non-adhesive sandpaper.
4. Place levers back in locked position in platen slot.
5.
CAREFULLY peel adhesive backing paper from the new 1/3 sheet of adhesive-backed paper.
6.
Place sandpaper in position on cushion. ALWAYS make sure that the front edge of the
sandpaper is carefully aligned with the front edge of the cushion. Then carefully press
the sticky side of the sandpaper onto the cushion.
WARNING:
Failure to unplug the sander could result in accidental starting
causing possible serious personal injury.
!
NOTE: The sandpaper MUST be aligned with the front edge of the cushion in
order for the sander to properly function when flush sanding.
NOTE: We recommend that you clean the cushion occasionally by brushing it gently
with a small brush or wiping it with a soft, damp cloth. Dust build-up on the cushion
will cause the sandpaper to not stick properly.
