Do not use a dish towel to rub or pat items dry because doing so may transfer
germs to the items.
6.
Store dry parts in a cool, clean place when not in use. DO NOT store wet or
damp parts.
Before Each Use
Wash your hands well with soap and water and dry thoroughly before touching any
part of your pump.
• Make sure that all parts are totally dry prior to use. Wet or damp parts will cause
poor suction.
• Once all parts are totally dry, re-assemble the milk collection kit.
• Make sure that you check for wea
r and tear on tubes, plastic and silicone parts.
• Replace worn out or damaged parts immediately as this will affect
suction.
CLEANING THE TUBES
The Crane Double Electric Breast Pump is a closed system, therefore cleaning the
tubes is not necessary. If you see moisture in the tubes after pumping, remove the
tubes from the breast shields. Turn the unit on for a few minutes until the moisture
is gone.
TUBE CARE for Moisture in the tubes
If you see still moisture in the tubing:
Wash tubing in warm, soapy water.
Rinse with clean water
Shake out water droplets and hang to dry.
After each pumping session
• Rinse each part that has come into contact with the breast and/or breast
milk
immediately after pumping. Parts that come into contact with the breast and breast
milk are; bottles, breast shield body, silicone 3D Cushions, diaphragm. This avoids
buildup of milk residue in the collection kit bottles/parts and growth of any bacteria.
• Wash all parts above in warm soapy water using any
fragrance-free mild liquid
dishwashing detergent. This degreases the parts of the milk collection kit. Grease
residue affects suction and passage of milk into the collection bottles.
• Use a separate cleaning sponge and bottle brush with a smaller brush
to reach the
tiny nooks of the collection kit parts.
• Rinse each piece thoroughly with warm water for 10 to 15 seconds.
