5. Visor
Sunshade
visor:
To remove the visor, carefully pull the pins on the visor out of the
fixing holes provided on the helmet shell [Fig. 5a].
PLEASE NOTE!
The fixing holes in the helmet may widen due to
excessive use. In this case the visor may no longer be used.
Insertion visor:
The insertion visor is equipped with arms which are used to
insert the visor into the helmet. It can be removed completely
by pulling it out. It can be individually adjusted using a latch
system [Fig. 5b].
Pivoted visor:
To remove the pivoted visor from the helmet, unscrew the bolts
at both sides and carefully remove the fixing plate. You can then
remove the visor [Fig. 5c].
6. Storage and cleaning
After use, allow your helmet to air dry and store in a cool, dry place. The helmet can be seriously
damaged by high temperatures of over 65°, for example, if left in direct sunlight in a car. Changes
to the helmet surface or blistering are signs of heat damage. Do not use a helmet that has these
kinds of changes!
Only clean your helmet, lighting system and remote control with a soft damp cloth. Changes
to the helmet, in particular the application of paints and stickers, the removal of interior
stickers (warning notices, identification coding) or the use of aggressive cleaning agents,
chemicals and solvents, may impair the protection your helmet offers and void the warranty!
7. Replacement and disposal
This helmet was developed to absorb part of the energy in a fall and therefore protect the
head.
The helmet must be replaced after every hard impact, blow or deep scratch as it loses the
protection it offers as a result. The helmet should be replaced if it no longer fits properly or
8 years after the date of manufacture at the latest even if no damage can be detected.
Regularly check your helmet for visible defects!
Please contact your local disposal company to dispose of your helmet.
8. CRATONI replacement warranty
CRATONI offers the CRATONI Replacement Warranty as a special warranty service in the
event of a fall, in addition to the statutory 2-year warranty:
CRATONI replaces any helmet that has become unusable after a crash, with a value of
up to 50% of the recommended retail price. This is applicable for the first owner and
only within a period of 3 years after the date of purchase. Send the defective helmet
(with serial number) together with the replacement card (see separate Replacement &
Warranty Information) to the respective CRATONI sales partner in your country to get a new
replacement helmet. You can find out the sales partner‘s address from

We can only accept prepaid shipments.
Enclose the original proof of purchase and a detailed description of the cause of the
accident with the shipment. The helmet sent in will be replaced for you at 50% of the
recommended retail price with cash on delivery.
If the same model is no longer available, the model will be chosen that comes closest to the
defective helmet in terms of shape, price, size and colour.
WARRANTY
This product has been manufactured to the highest quality standards, tested and
approved according to the relevant standards. In addition to the replacement warranty,
the buyer is entitled to a warranty period of 24 months from the date of purchase on the
material and workmanship with presentation of proof of purchase. The warranty does
not cover damage caused by accident, misuse, alterations to the product, normal wear
and tear and improper handling of the product The original stickers on the inside of the
helmet must not be removed.
