Ponytail and “Get-Away” Braids

1.  Brush your hair thoroughly and gather it in a ponytail.

2.  Gently pull out small strands of hair on both sides in front.

3.  Thread a bead on the top of each strand.

4.  Use the braiding tool to make a braid from all the loose strands and fasten

it with a rubber band or snap-on bead. See figure 11.

Head Full of Braids

1.  Brush your hair thoroughly.

2.  Part your hair, starting from the bottom, and progress upwards in neat

rows.

3.  Divide each row of hair into even strands and use the braiding tool to

make a braid out of them. See figure 12. Read the instructions for using

the braiding tool.

*  If you want, you can thread a bead at the top of the braid, (in this case,

you will have to make thin braids, using just two strands of hair), or clasp

the ends of the braids with snap-on beads.

NOTE:

We recommend using a large hairclip or hair band to hold the hair

that you’re not working on, so that it doesn’t get in the way.

Dancer-Style Beaded Hair

1.  Brush your hair thoroughly and gather it into a ponytail. See figure 13.

2.  Twist the ponytail onto your head. See figure 14.

3.  Continue twisting it until it becomes a bun. See figure 15.

4.  Tuck the end of the twisted ponytail under the rubber band, and tighten

the ball around it with another rubber band.

5.  Decorate the bun with colorful snap-on beads. See figure 16.

Two Pigtails with Braids

1.  Brush your hair thoroughly. Part your hair in the middle of the head from

the  top to the bottom. See figure 17.

2.  Gather your hair into two tight pigtails, one on each side.

3.  Using the braiding tool, make 4 braids in each pigtail. See figure 18.

Zigzag Pigtails

1.  Brush your hair thoroughly.

2.  Using a comb, make a zigzag line by parting the hair on a diagonal, first to

the right and then to the left and so on. See figure 19.

3.  Gather the hair into two tight pigtails, one on each side. See figure 20.

4.  Using the braiding tool, make one or more braids with the strands of hair

in the pigtails.

5.  Decorate the zigzag line with clasping beads. See figures 21 and 22.

Warning:

Keep the tool and accessories in the kit, out of the reach

of children under the age of 8.

Keep the tool away from water or any other liquid.

Read the instructions carefully before starting.

Before You Begin:

1.  Open the battery compartment, by pushing the small tab above the

compartment downwards and insert 2 AA batteries (not included). See figure 1.

2.  Brush your hair well.

3.  Remove the cover of the tool head by pushing the small tab downwards with

your thumb. Lift off the cover with your other hand. See figure 2.

4.  Insert a spool of thread into the cover of the tool head, serrated side up, until

you hear it click. See figure 3.

5.  Insert the end of the thread into the slit on the side of the cover. See figure 4.

Replace the cover and press it until you hear a click.

Wrapping With Threads

1.  Brush a small strand of hair and wet it with a bit of water. Do not use hair gel or

anything besides water, because your hair might stain the threads or make

them fade.

2.  Insert the threading needle through the hole in the bottom of the tool head

with the metal loop pointing upwards. Insert the hair strand and the thread into

the metal loop and pull the needle downwards, pulling the hair and thread

through the tool to the bottom side. See figure 5.

3.  Pull the hair strand through the tool, until the tool is where you want the wrap

to begin. Pull the thread until it is a bit longer than the length of the strand of

hair, so that you can use it later to tie the end of the wrap. See figure 6. If you

pull out too much thread, remove the hair and roll the thread back by moving

the switch upwards.

4.  Hold the strand of hair and the thread tightly and move the switch downwards.

Begin the wrapping process while slowly moving the wrapping tool towards the

end of the hair strand. See figure 7.

*   Insert the end of the thread into the slit on the side of the cover. See figure 4.

Replace the cover and press it until you hear a click.

Note:

If you make a mistake and want to undo the wrap, move the switch

upwards and move the tool in the opposite direction. See figure 8.

5.  After you finish wrapping the length of hair you want, return the switch to its

original position in the center and carefully cut the end of the thread protruding
