Operation
Performing the System Test
Before connecting equipment to the CEN-UPS1250, ensure the unit is functional by
connecting the AC power cord provided with the unit to the AC power connector on
the rear panel and then to an AC outlet. Also, ensure the internal battery is
connected. Press the front panel power switch. Once power is applied to the unit, the
display provides the information screens shown below and defined in the
accompanying paragraphs.
The “CRESTRON CEN-UPS1250” screen indicates the unit has power and is
functioning.

The “POWER CONDITIONER WITH BATTERY BACKUP” screen indicates the
proper firmware was installed for the model purchased.

The “DELAYED OUTLET1:ON; DELAYED OUTLET2:OFF” screen indicates
power is available to the devices connected to the rear panel outlets marked

. It also shows that power is not yet available to the devices connected to the rear
panel outlets marked

devices are available after the
factory preset delay (five seconds) has elapsed. Refer to “Setup Screens” which starts
on page 26 to change the delay period. Once power is available for

devices,
the screen changes to

lights.

The “SELFTEST IS ON; ON-LINE SELFTEST” screen indicates the selftest is on
and the on-line selftest is active. This selftest is conducted using utility power.

The “SELFTEST IS ON; ON-BATTERY SELFTEST” screen indicates the on-
battery selftest is active with the unit internally switched to derive power from the
internal battery pack (which should already be connected within the unit). The
