Introduction
Features and Functions
Numeric (CNX-BN12) and function (CNX-BF12) keypads are wall-
mounted user interfaces that can be part of a Crestron Home™ total
control system. The keypads are standard Cresnet devices, and provide
finger-tip control when the control system is properly programmed using
SIMPL™ Windows
. The number in the product’s name corresponds to
the number of buttons on the panel. Each of these panels is available in
three colors: almond, black, and white. The suffix ‘A’, ‘B’, and ‘W’,
respectively denotes color, i.e. CNX-BN12B is a black 12-button unit.
For simplicity within this guide, color suffix is omitted.
The CNX-BF12 serves as a source keypad. The CNX-BN12 can be used
to expand the capabilities of the source keypad, and is ideal for audio
device functions such as selecting a particular CD track number or a
certain CD from a CD changer.
Functional Summary
Ergonomic buttons are easy to read from any angle
Backlit buttons are easy to locate
LED indicators provide visual feedback of commands
Speaker provides audio feedback of commands
Temperature sensor reports to Cresnet for HVAC monitoring
NOTE
: The temperature sensor is not accurate when the backlight is on.
