Line_en
E nables C N X TA audio-line functions. W hen active, the C N X TA is
toggled from telephone functions. This input is active by default.
A udio _patch_on
P atches or connects the C N X TA audio lines (both audio in and audio
out) to the telephone line. This allow s bi-directional linking to the
telephone line. A udio inputted to or recorded by the C N X TA m ay be
played through the open telephone line. Telephone audio m ay be
sent to an external am plifier or be recorded by the C N X TA . (R efer to

in the next table for related inform ation.)
A udio _patch_off
T urns off the audio patch (or disconnects) the C N X TA audio lines
(both audio in and audio out) from the telephone line.
W hile the C N X TA audio-line functions are enabled, this input sets
the audio lines to O n-Line.
W hile the C N X TA telephone functions are enabled, this input opens
the telephone line to allow the C N X TA to dial out. (R efer to
O ff hook F
in the next table for related inform ation.)
W hile the C N X TA audio-line functions are enabled, this input sets
the audio lines to O ff-Line.
W hile the C N X TA telephone functions are enabled, this input
disconnects or “hangs-up” the C N X TA from the telephone line.
P lay
A ctivates the playing of a selected m essage. (R efer to
P lay_F
in the
next table for related inform ation.)
R eco rd
B egins the recording of a new m essage from the audio input to the
C N X TA . (R efer to
R ecord _F
in the next table for related
inform ation.)
S top
S tops the playing or the recording of a m essage.
M ute
C uts-off or m utes (volum e level to 0% ) the playback volum e of a
m essage as it is being played.
D ial
A ctivates the C N X TA dial out function. The telephone num ber that is
dialed is received through the
D ialer
input described below .
D elete
R em oves or erases a selected m essage.
M essage#
T his
analog
input is the storage location reference num ber of the
C N X TA stored m essages. The C N X TA w ill locate and recall the
specific m essage.
P lay_volum e
T his
analog
input adjusts the playback volum e level. (R efer to
P lay_volum e
, also listed in the next table, for related inform ation.)
D ialer
R eceives a telephone num ber string sent to the C N X TA . The
num ber is dialed w hen the D ial signal described above is active.
