Problem Solving
Troubleshooting
The following table provides corrective action for possible trouble situations. If
further assistance is required, please contact a Crestron customer service
representative.
TPS-3000 Touchpanel Toubleshooting

Use Performance Viewport (via
SIMPL Windows or VT Pro-e) to
poll the network. Verify network
connection to the touchpanel.
Touchpanel is not
communicating with the
network.
Verify touchpanel is in
“CRESNET MODE” as defined in
the “Interface Menu” on page 12.
Touchpanel is not receiving
network power.
Confirm that power is supplied to
the network.
Incorrect power supply.
Use only Crestron power
supplies for Crestron equipment.
Touchpanel
does not
function.
Touchpanel is incorrectly
calibrated.
Enter “SETUP MODE” and
recalibrate.
Incorrect network wiring.
Verify correct wiring to all
connectors.
Touchpanel Cresnet ID is
not set to match the Net ID
in the SIMPL program.
Touch the screen to remove the
message and enter Performance
Viewport (via SIMPL Windows or
VT Pro-e) to poll the network.
Verify that the Cresnet ID for the
touchpanel is properly set to
match the Net ID in the SIMPL
program.
Touchpanel
is not
responding.
Touchpanel Cresnet ID is
not unique, two or more
units share the same ID.
Enter Performance Viewport (via
SIMPL Windows or VT Pro-e) to
poll the network and verify that
each ID is used only once.
Standby timeout has
elapsed.
Touch the screen to reactivate.
Touchpanel
display is
dark.
Screen brightness is
improperly set.
Enter “SETUP MODE” and alter
screen brightness from the setup
menu.
Unexpected
response
from the
touchpanel.
Touchpanel is incorrectly
calibrated.
Enter “SETUP MODE” and
recalibrate.
