Pay careful attention not to damage the “O” ring!
WARNING!
Do not touch the fractal sensor for any reason!
WARNING!
It is very important NOT to tighten each all the way down in one step,
but to GRADUALLY turn each one until the “resistance” to be turned
becomes slightly higher.
WARNING!
All the following steps are at the operator’s risk. We take no liability
for improper installation of the ceramic foil on our instruments.
FiberScan
ONE
TM
has been engineered for an easy plastic ring replacement,
without need to be sent back to our labs.
In order to safely apply a new plastic ring, please follow carefully the next
steps:
1. Check the FiberScan reading, placing the reference glas on top of
the sensor, with the existing plastic ring and take note of the value.
2. Remove the worn/damaged ring
1.
2.
Loosen the plastic foil screws, turning
them all the way out from the foil
attached to the sensor head;
Remove the worn/demaged palstic
ringl from the sensor head. It might be
encountered some resistance coming
from the gluing of the silicone resin
applied. All instruments have some
silicone in between the ceramic and
the ring, to ensure a better contact
and to prevent that the screws do not
get loosen easily.
