Drop-Insert mux
«Drop-Insert» multiplexer mode. Data from port 0 is transmitted to E1/1 link and
received
from E1/0 link. Data from port 1 is transmitted to E1/0 link and received from E1/1 link. Timeslot
16 is transparently translated between E1 links.

Ethernet interface
Ethernet interface complies with 10BaseT standard.
Two devices with this interface form a Remote Bridge
and are used to interconnect two LANs. The Remote
Bridge is capable of filtering packets, i. e. it passes over those packets only that have recipients in the
LAN on the other side of the link. Cronyx E1-XL with Ethernet interface can compress Ethernet
packets by truncating stuff bits required to form fixed length packets.
Cronyx E1-XL with Ethernet interface can work together with other devices equipped with Ethernet
interface made by Cronyx - PCM2, E1L and BRDG.
A Remote Bridge formed of two Cronyx devices has the following specifications:

The following figure depicts a statistics screen for devices with Ethernet interface. Besides Ethernet
interface parameters Coll column also shows the number of seconds during which collisions occurred
for local and remote devices respectively.
