The PLC interface uses SINGLE trigger mode only. If a set-up memory which has
CONTINUOUS trigger mode stored is sele cted when using the PLC interface, then
this will be changed to SINGLE at the start of the first measurement. As one of the
stored parameters has been altered, the MEM number will be removed from the
display, but all other parameters for that memory will remain correctly set.
See Figures 3 and 4 for examples of the input and output behaviour during
measurement.
5.7 Analogue Output
This is selected from the Remote Inte rface, PLC menu (see Front Panel Set-up).
When fitted and selected ON, it produces an output voltage proportional to the
measured resistance. If the Temperature Compensation is selected, then this value
will be the compensated resistance. For the nominal full-scale value for each range
(30,000 count), this is
±
3.00V, depending on the current direction.
This facility increases the measurement time by a small amount, only significant in
FAST mode. To avoid it being left ON inadvertently, it defaults to OFF at power-up.
