The DE200 drive carrier contains two (2) front mounted drive carrier
fans for enhanced heat dissipation. Should the fans ever fail, the unit
ID number indicator (located on the front of the receiving frame) will
display a flashing “F” and the audible alarm will sound.
Notes:
The DE200 has a Fan Fault LED and Alarm feature in the
event of a fan failure. In the event of a single fan failure the Fan
Fault LED and Alarm feature may be disable.
With this jumper installed the Fan Fault LED and Alarm will still
function in the event of total fan failure.
This jumper must be removed once the fault fan is replaced.
In the case of fan failure, both fans are field replaceable. Please contact
CRU Support for a replacement fan.
