DANGER
EXTREME HAZARD
Carbon monoxide gas (CO) is
colorless, odorless and
extremely dangerous. All
engines and fuel burning
appliances produce CO as
exhaust. Direct and prolonged
exposure to CO will cause
BRAIN DAMAGE or DEATH.
Signs of exposure to CO include
nausea, dizziness and
drowsiness. Sources of CO
include the examples to the
right:
To reduce CO accumulation, ventilate
the yacht interior by opening the
windows and/or canvas to provide
adequate ventilation. Deck hatches can
be opened at slow speed or while dead
in the water, but must be closed at or
above planing speeds to prevent
damage and possible personal injury.
ENSURE ADEQUATE VENTILATION
FOR CORRECT AIR MOVEMENT
THROUGH YACHT!
