Note:
U.L. listed versions of key/card readers are provided with an enclosure and the low temper-
ature package.
In all applications, an average height for installing the key/card reader for ease of use is
approximately 48 inches (122 cm) from the floor or ground level as applicable.

Installation Procedure for Single Key/Card Reader
Before installing the key/card reader as shown in the following procedure, insert the RJ45
reader cable plug into the jack provided on the reader.
Caution:
Before making mounting holes, make sure that wall, door frame, or other applicable area is
clear of obstructions such as conduits, pipes, glass, wiring, etc. A minimum depth of 2

inches (6.35 cm) is required between surfaces for clearance of the key/card reader and
connector.

Locate and make a cutout for mounting the key/card reader as shown in

Secure the key/card reader in place by following the directions in A or B below.
