Starting Up
Once you have connected your RS Monitor to the PowerStation
RS PC or to another computer, you are ready to start up your
system. The procedure for doing this is described below.
Before connecting power to your unit, make sure you have read
and understood the following sections of this manual: Electrical
Specifications on page 12 and Testing Specifications on page 12.
Also, make sure that you follow the guidelines listed below:

For permanently connected equipment
,
a readily accessi-
ble disconnect device should be incorporated in the fixed wir-
ing.
•
For pluggable equipment, the socket-outlet should be
installed near the equipment and should be easily accessible.
Special Note concerning use in EU member countries
Proper installation of the RS Monitor for use in European Union
countries requires the use of a harmonized power cord. (The
power cord must be identified with the <HAR> symbol.) Ensure
that the RS Monitor is only connected to the main supply with a
harmonized power cord.
To start up your PowerStation RS system, follow these steps:
1. Locate the Power On/Off switch at the upper left side of the
monitor, as shown below.
