2.12 POWER MODULE WIRING - GENERAL
WARNING:
The chair manufacturer is responsible for establishing the suitability of the particular wiring arrangements used on the
wheelchair, for both normal use and stalled conditions. Curtiss-Wright can make general recommendations for wiring for R-
Net control systems, but Curtiss-Wright accepts no responsibility for, and accepts no liability for losses of any kind arising
from, the actual wiring arrangement used.
The chair manufacturer is responsible for ensuring that only the mating connectors specified by Curtiss-Wright on the control
system’s specific data sheet are used to connect to the control system. Curtiss-Wright accepts no liability for losses of any
kind arising from failure to comply with this condition.
The chair manufacturer is responsible for ensuring that suitable connectors are used and securely mated throughout the
chair wiring system and that the workmanship associated with the wiring system is of a good enough quality. Failure to meet
this condition could result in intermittent operation, sudden stopping or veering, or even create a burn or fire hazard.
Curtiss-Wright accepts no liability for losses of any kind arising from failure to comply with this condition. Chapter 2 Section

CRIMPING
WARNING:
Defective or poor quality crimps may affect the warranty of the control system. Curtiss-Wright accepts no liability for losses

WIRE GAUGE AND TYPES
WARNING:
Battery and motor wires should have 105ºC rated PVC insulation.

The chair manufacturer must install a suitable circuit breaker to provide protection against short circuits in the battery
wiring, power loom or the control system. Failure to comply with this could result in a fire hazard. Curtiss-Wright accepts no

WARNING:
Do not exceed the maximum charging current of 12A rms. Always use a charger fitted with a Neutrik NC3MX plug. Failure to
observe these conditions could result in poor contact resistance in the charger connector resulting in overheating of the
