Advance 30 seconds / Stop the recording 30 seconds
Using this function, the recorder will jump forward 30 seconds during play-
back. This function is available for Audio CDs, DVD-Video discs, (Super)
Video CDs and MPEG files. On the other hand, press this button to pause
your recording 30 seconds.

While playing a disc, press the button
“CM SKIP”
. The disc will be
advanced 30 seconds. After this, playback continues.

While recording, press the button
“CM SKIP”
to pause the recording 30
seconds. The time will be counted in reverse direction. After this, the
recording will continue.
Playing a disc at different speeds

The function is available to play a disc at different speeds in different
directions. To play the disc at different speeds in a forward direction use
the button
“
E
”
on your remote control. The speeds that can be
achieved are 2X, 4X, 8X, 16X and 32X.

To play the disc at different speeds in reverse use the button
“
G
”
on
your remote control. The speeds that can be achieved in reverse are
2X, 4X, 8X, 16X and 32X.

To stop playing the disc at different speeds, please press the
Play/Pause button

on your remote control or on the front of the
device.
Slow play
When a DVD, (Super) Video CD or MPEG disc is played, press the button
“I
A
”
on your remote control to slow down the current speed of play.

Whenever the Slow button
“I
A
”
is pressed once, the speed of play will
slow down from 1/2X>1/4X>1/8X>1/16X.

To return to the normal speed of play, press the Play/Pause button

A/I
”
on your remote control.
Note:
• This function is not available for JPEG pictures.
• Fast forward/reverse scanning will only work during disc playback, not
when the disc is stopped.
Note:
No sound during slow play:
During slow play, the sound will be muted. This is not a fault of your
device.
