Moving the SE500CP System
Moving the SE500
CP
System
Disconnecting Utilities from the System
Use the following procedure as a checklist to make sure that all of the external connections to
the SE500
CP
system are disconnected before you move the system.
➢
To disconnect the system
1. Shut down the SE500
CP
as described in “
2. Disconnect the AC wiring from the circuit breaker on rear of the machine.
3. Release the air pressure from the air line.
4. Disconnect the air line from the air regulator.
5. Disconnect any additional external connections to the processor, such as USB connections.
6. Disconnect external connections to the rear electrical panel, such as the network, SMEMA,
or I/O cables, if used.
Bypassing the SE500
CP
System
The SE500
CP
bypass mode allows panels to run through the machine without inspection. In the
event of certain hardware failures, the system can be temporarily bypassed.
Failures include processor, some of the amplifiers, X,Y,Z axes and width motors.
➢
To engage bypass mode
1. Push the E-Stop button on the front of the unit.
2. Turn off all electrical power to the system. For more information, refer to “
3. Lift the hood.
4. Remove the lower front panel by removing two screws at the top of the panel.
5. On the left side of the digital I/O controller, turn the bypass switch from NORMAL to
BYPASS.
Caution:
The SE500
CP
unit weighs approximately 601 kg (1325 lbs.). To avoid injury, always use
a forklift or a pallet jack to move the unit. The forklift’s forks need to securely hold both cross
beams under the unit. Otherwise the forks may damage the electronics undercarrage.
