The center display shows “USE - + TO SET WEIGHT.”
The right display flashes the default weight of 160 lb. (73 kg).
Use the - and + keys to adjust the weight number displayed in the
right windows to your current weight. The 400T accepts weight
from 50 to 400 lb. (23 to 182 kg).
(If after five seconds no key has been pressed to adjust the weight
display, the treadmill will accept 160 lb. (73 kg) as the default
weight and revert to the run mode.)
After adjusting the weight display, the center display window will
flash the instruction “PRESS START.”
Press START/ENTER to accept your new weight reading and revert
to the run mode. The treadmill uses your weight, speed, and %
grade to determine how many calories you burn during a workout.
(If you do not press the START/ENTER key within 3 seconds of
changing the weight display, the treadmill will automatically accept
your new weight value and revert to the run mode.)
9. Press + to increase the speed and

to increase the % grade.
The left display will flash the incline % grade selected, and the
right display will flash the speed selected, until the treadmill
reaches these settings. Once the settings have been reached, the
values will stop flashing.
Use SPEED + - and

INCLINE any time during your workout
to increase and decrease your speed and % grade. The display
will reflect your changes.
10. When you want to interrupt the program, press STOP to pause.
The running belt will stop and % grade will decline to 0%. The
treadmill will pause for up to five minutes. Press the START key to
return to your workout at any time within the 5-minute pause period.
11. Don’t forget to allow yourself a 3 to 5 minute cool-down period.
Press STOP twice to end the session. The speed and % grade
return to 0.0.
As you exercise, the 400T keeps track of your speed, % grade,
calories burned per hour, the accumulated number of miles you
cover, the amount of time you have spent (or have left) in a program,
the total calories burned, your pace, and your hear rate.* You can
review this data any time during the workout.
To review accumulated data,
during a program:
Press SHIFT once to
review each set of data. Each time you press SHIFT, the display
cycles to the next set of data that you wish to monitor, as follows:

and DISTANCE

and PACE (in minutes and seconds)

Heart rate* (in beats per minute)
