AlterPath OnBoard Administrator’s Guide
An administrative user can use the Config
→
Syslog screen to do the
following:
•
Specify that syslog messages are sent to the console, to the root user, or to
one or more syslog servers.
•
Specify rules for filtering messages.
Syslog Destination
The administrative user can use the Config
→
Syslog screen to tell the
OnBoard to send syslog messages to one or all of the following:
•
Console
•
Root user (if the root user is configured to receive syslog messages, make
sure to configure an email address under Network -> Outbound email).
•
Syslog server
Filter Messages by Level
The bottom of the Config
→
Syslog screen has two sets of checkboxes for
specifying which types of web log and system log messages are forwarded
based on their severity level:
•
Emergency
•
Alert
•
Critical
•
Error
•
Warning,
•
Notice
•
Info
•
Debug
