Installation
KP04/KP05 should be installed in an indoor location, not
outside the premises for security reasons.

Remove the screw at the base and pull the front
housing from the back housing.
y
Mount the back housing on the wall using the
screws supplied. KP04/KP05 can replace KP01/02.
y
Connect the 6 wires from the terminal blocks (JP1,
JP2 , JP3) to the Comfort PCB according to the
signal name. Note the 12V should be connected to
the 12V terminal on Comfort, not S12V
y
When replacing an existing KP01/KP02, note that
the pairs of wires KA/KB, 12V/COM, Mic/Voice are
reversed on the connectors.

If more than one Keypad/Door Station is used,
connect their 12V and ground wires back to
Comfort individually, not in series to avoid
excessive voltage drop along the cable.

Set ID shunts for each of the keypads (SW1).
They must be numbered consecutively, i.e. ID 1,
followed by ID 2 for 2nd KP.
y
Set the correct number of Keypads using
Comfigurator (or using the keypad Location 1675).
The default is 1. Reset Comfort after changing the
value.
Comfort II Text Synchronisation
If the LCD displays “Wrong Text. Press *1 to sync”.
press and hold the “*” followed by “1” keys to sync the
KP04 text with the Comfort vocabulary,. The screen
shows to “Downloading” with the downloading status
bar. After the process completes, the keypad will reset
and there will be a “beep” heard.
