Operation
About this chapter
This chapter describes how to prepare your Chromaflow Packing Station for operation
and how to use Chromaflow Packing Station to pack and unpack Chromaflow columns.
Note:
The packing and unpacking instructions are general procedures that may
not be useful for all situations. Modifications to these procedures (and to the
connections between the Chromaflow Packing Station, the column, and the
tanks) may be necessary under other operating scenarios. Contact your
Cytiva representative for further information.
Note:
Several of the steps in the following sections refer to the use of a pressure
gauge. These particular steps are part of a general procedure suggested by
Cytiva, although modifications can be made to these instructions that do
not need a pressure gauge. To order a pressure gauge, contact your Cytiva
representative.

High pressure. The flow rate may under no circumstances exceed
the specified column maximum flow rate. High flows might affect
the packed resin, causing the pressure to exceed the specified
