Pack a column
Packing procedures
Chromaflow columns can be packed via the bottom (upflow) or top (downflow) nozzle.
For detailed information about column packing, refer to the user documentation for
your column. If further instructions are needed, please contact your local Cytiva repre-
sentative.
Precautions
WARNING
Use columns that withstand expected pressures. Always use
appropriate pressure alarms, pressure vents or rupture discs, and
safety equipment. If not, the columns might rupture, resulting in
injury.
NOTICE
When packing the column, monitor all valves and tubing connec-
tions carefully for air or liquid leakage. If there is any evidence of
leakage attend to the leak and then repeat the filling sequence.
