Unpack a column
Unpacking procedures
Unpacking a column should be done in the following two stages:

Loosen the packed bed.

Empty the column.
Unpacking a column using a Chromaflow Packing Station takes about 20 to 25
minutes.
For more information about loosening the packed bed and column unpacking, refer to
the user documentation for your column. If further instructions are needed, please
contact your local Cytiva representative.
Empty the column
When emptying a column, the connection from the
COLLECTION tank to the column
must enable a free flow of air to avoid under-pressure in the column.
To empty the column you need to toggle between
SIT and SIB by using the three way
valve control switch.
