Disconnection after use
Introduction
This section describes how to disconnect your Chromaflow Packing Station from the
column after column priming, packing or unpacking.
After use
Your Chromaflow Packing Station should be flushed and rinsed carefully and directly
after use to make sure that no adsorbent remains.
Residual adsorbent can restrict or block flow paths. This results in a pressure increase,
or prevents the pump from starting as settled chromatography resin can prevent the
membranes from moving inside the pump.
Disconnect Chromaflow Packing
Station
Follow the procedure below to disconnect your Chromaflow Packing Station from the
column.

Clean your Chromaflow Packing Station carefully and make sure that no
hazardous liquids remain in the tubing.

Make sure that the air supply has been turned off.
CAUTION
Always turn off the compressed air supply before discon-
necting Chromaflow Packing Station from the column.

Remove the tubing between the column and Chromaflow Packing Station.
