config mirror port
Purpose
Used to configure a mirror port

port pair on the switch.
Syntax
config mirror port <port> [add|delete]
source ports <portlist> [rx|tx|both]
Description
This command allows you to add or delete
mirroring ports. It also allows a range of
ports to have all of their traffic sent to a
designated port
−
where a network sniffer
or other device can monitor the network
traffic. You can also specify that only traffic
received by or sent by or both is mirrored
to the Target port.
Parameters
<port>
−
This specifies the Target port (the
port where mirrored packets will be sent).
<portlist>
−
Specifies a range of ports to be
configured. The port list is specified by
listing the beginning port number and the
highest port number of the range. The
beginning and end of the port list range are
separated by a dash. For example, 3 would
specify port 3. 4 specifies port 4. 3-4
specifies all of the ports between port 3 and
port 4

in numerical order.
rx

Allows the mirroring of only packets
received (flowing into) the port or ports in
the port list.
tx

Allows the mirroring of only packets
sent (flowing out of) the port or ports in the
