Click on the
Setup
button to open the
Setup Forwarding ports
page, as shown below.

This page allows you to determine which port on a given switch in a switch stack will be allowed to forward
packets to other ports on that switch.
Configuring traffic segmentation on the DGS-3212SR is accomplished in two parts. First you specify a switch
from a switch stack, and then a port from that switch. Then you specify a second switch from the switch stack,
and then you select which ports (or different ports on the same switch) on that switch that you want to be able to
receive packets from the switch and port you specified in the first part.
In the example above, the switch is in standalone mode (Unit ID of 15) and port 1 is selected as the transmitting
port. Ports 2 through 4 are selected as being able to receive packets from port 1.
Clicking the
Apply
button will enter the combination of transmitting port and allowed receiving ports into the
switch’s Traffic Segmentation table.
